Yes the QR code on the cover works
Is it irony to write more about a book with so few words in it? Anyway, this book was quite something to put together. There were so many photos - we started with at least four times the number in the final book - and it took a very long time to choose and order them. Just picture us sitting on the floor covered in a physical representation of the internet.
QR Codes is really about asking why before you innovate. QR codes, like Scott back in high school, had a lot of potential. That’s what his mom used to say. It wasn’t until he grew up and became a parent, that he realized what potential actually means. That he sucked now and hopefully would be making some improvements in the future :) There are some fantastic uses for emerging technologies. Still, if you use them to seem flashy or cutting edge, without considering how your customers and market would want to use them - you’ve centred yourself and missed the point. Good innovation asks why, and the answer always needs to be - because it improved my customer’s experience.
If you decide to get this book, you’ll laugh, you’ll learn, and we apologize in advance if we featured a mistake made by you. It happens, and it’s as awkward as you might imagine.
Fun fact: This book taught us some of our podcast fans listen with their kids around. We received quite a few heartfelt messages from concerned children, whom we sent stuffed animals and assurances that no kittens were harmed in the writing of our book :)
